When Campari America asked us to reimagine their presence at Bar Convent, one of the largest trade events in the nation, with just five weeks to launch, we rushed to grab a bottle of Bulldog Gin and stir up a pitcher of desk-side Negronis. And then we got straight to it, with the portfolio’s versatility, likability and industry leadership at the forefront of our approach.
From the Cognac region of France to the caffès of Venice and the heart of Jamaica, each Campari brand represents a culture, an emotion, and a sense of place. One sip of Aperol Spritz or Montelobos con sal de gusano can transport you. Add to that our collective yearning to make up for a couple of years without travel, and transport is exactly what we did.
Destination : Campari was (obviously) inspired by JFK’s TWA Flight Center and took guests on a personalized journey through the portfolio with plenty of exclusive programming built in. A digital interface encouraged visitors to join the Campari Community and sign up for a timed ‘departure’ in which they might get a private tasting with a distiller or check out some innovative techniques coming out of Campari Academy. The main bar served as a gathering hub, with a rotating menu of classic cocktails and a flipboard building hype around each upcoming event. The flexible set allowed each component to be isolated, easily crated and travel to future activations.
